THE BIBLE
THE FATHER
God is our father and the godhead of the trinity. He is love. He is unchanging, the same yesterday today and forever. He is faithful in keeping his promises and is all knowing. He is above all and the almighty all powerful creator of all God. He is compassionate, the beginning and the end loving us before we loved him.THE SON
Jesus Christ is God in human form and the wisdom and complete understanding of his love for us. It is only through Jesus that we can have a restored right relationship with God. He lived a sinless life, pure and holy enduring and fulfilling the law which we could not live, satisfying God’s demands for perfection for us. He not only defeated the life we could not live but also death in His resurrection so that we could have life.THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is God, is his presence in full power and glory. He testifies and confirms the kingdom relationship we have through Christ. He does not condemn yet convicts us of sin and of the righteousness we have in him. He is our advocate, reminding, teaching and guiding us in truth. He helps us in our weakness gives us spiritual gifts as we grow to become more Christ like every day renewing our minds to his truths. Jesus speaks of the ministry of the Holy Spirit for the believer to do greater works than He. It is the baptism of the Holy Spirit that makes it possible for us to be Jesus to the world.WATER BAPTISM
We adhere to what is called a believers baptism and in full submersion. John baptized this way and the word baptize means to immerse. The bible says “to repent and be baptized”, and tells stories about men who believed, and were baptized. Water baptism is a wonderful and outward sign of obedience as to what has taken place on the inside already. For this reason and because God gives us all free will choice, we do not baptize infants, nor do we relegate it as a mere religious act. We do however so love doing baby dedications, praying over them, their families with a charge to their parents to raise them according to scripture which is God’s will."We know the bible teaches that it is through Christ alone who saves and by no holy act we do, including water baptism. We believe whole heartedly in the importance and commandment of water baptism. However putting our faith in water baptism as a means of salvation, is like saying Jesus dying on the cross wasn’t sufficient for our salvation, so there must also be something I must do in order to be saved. This view goes against scripture. However Baptism is clearly important as Jesus, who was without sin was baptized. Water baptism is a wonderful and celebrated experience we love to offer often." -Pastor Mark Kinman
